Day 2 of ILTM Africa (8 April 2019) picked up where Day 1 left off – with exciting networking and meeting opportunities delivering tremendous opportunities for Africa’s luxury travel and experience providers, in a staggeringly-beautiful setting in the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens.

The ILTM Africa curated experiences provided a welcome breakaway option between meetings, with the Conversation Corner powered by Pure Leaf and Africology offering an informal and relaxing pampering space, in which to create moments that matter over a cup of tea. Attendees were given a chance to participate in tastings of Autographs craft gin, Spier wine estate wine and Pure Leaf tea while Africology & Healing Earth product sampling offered the perfect relaxation pause point amidst the many meetings too. Buyers were also spoilt for choice with an array of souvenirs from Cape Town Tourism, as well as some beautiful wooden products from Head On Design.

ILTM Africa attendees lunchbreak took place at the glamorous Shimmy Beach Club.

Today’s lunchbreak took place at the glamorous Shimmy Beach Club – the Mother City’s premier ocean-front dining and lifestyle venue – with attendees enjoying pristine views of iconic Table Mountain and culinary indulgences, against a soundtrack of lapping Atlantic waves. ILTM Africa sponsors, Africology provided some sensational spot prizes, with a few lucky attendees picking up hampers of their premium spa products.

ILTM Africa attendees can extend their stay in Cape Town by taking advantage of an exclusive discounted rate to attend the fifth annual Condé Nast International Luxury Conference 10 & 11 April, where they can meet and greet a carefully-curated selection of global luxury, fashion and lifestyle trend-setters, luxury innovators and thought-leaders.

Megan Oberholzer,  Portfolio General Manager: Travel, Tourism & Sports at Reed Exhibitions South Africa says that Host City Partner, the City of Cape Town, has really pulled out all the luxury stops for ILTM Africa attendees. “Doing business in such a stunning setting is a phenomenal experience for our attendees and we’re grateful that the City of Cape Town continues to support us in bringing together Africa’s most luxurious properties and products with buyers from around the world, to help showcase the beauty of the continent,” she says.

The last day of ILTM Africa takes place tomorrow with more networking functions planned.
